Healing the Intimate Shadows – A Conscious Self-Discovery Workshop

September 9 @ 9:30 am - September 11 @ 5:00 pm

Seeking something different?

More fulfillment and connection?

To open more depth and intimacy in your relationship/s?

Expanding your awareness, horizons and skills?

Many of us are intrigued by ideas of the intimate shadows, of uncovering what is stopping us connecting, feeling, opening, loving, being sensual, enjoying sexuality, giving and receiving and feeling worthy of in-depth fulfillment, along with expanding our boundaries of erotic adventure.

This three day journey is for everyone regardless of experience, orientation, age (must be over 18), beliefs, gender, background. Everyone is at choice and people are gently supported to make those choices that are right for them without judgement or pressure. You do not have to be exhibitionistic/voyeuristic, kink-aware, polyamorous, naturally confident, and potentially sadistic or masochistic to attend or even want to try anything along those lines. This is about your intimate journey and may look nothing like anyone else’s.

We create a safe space for magical fulfilling experiences with a focus on intimacy, connection, and the mysterious and powerful ‘dance’ within and between ourself/ves.

Such explorations can be powerful and extremely beautiful explorations of intimacy, and unfold a healing journey around blocks to self-acceptance and full self-expression.

MORE DETAILS:

Learning how to explore these experiences consciously leads not only to more relaxed and non-pressured interactions, but also opens the possibility for very rich, dark, even beautifully magical archetypal explorations. The intentional approach can often lead to the deepest, darkest and most fulfilling interactions.

Many people feel safer and more confident to go deeper in connections and with themselves when they feel fully met, seen and held. Most of us are more likely to trust being more intimately open with a partner who has learnt some solid basic skills (as opposed to someone who is ‘winging it’ based on some dodgy ideas from the internet or popular fiction).

What are your frustrations, difficulties, confusions, desires,  shadows, fantasies and intrigues? This workshop offers opportunities to explore them consciously, safely and authentically.

What you will get from this event:

  • Something very different and helpful
  • Confidence to approach the erotic shadows with more confidence and tools
  • Building grounded realistic confidence through knowledge and experience
  • Creating ‘care & connection’ and holding these as important values
  • Healing, self-awareness and letting go of some obstacles to connection and intimacy
  • Building clear frameworks of informed consent and making sure everyone is on the same page. Communication, communication, communication…
  • Acknowledging and making friends with cultural shame and guilt and so becoming free of their grip
  • Exploring blocks and difficulties to intimacy
  • Basic safety awareness and skills around shadow activities
  • Becoming awesome at non-verbal communication
  • Learning to identify and explore the polarising aspects of erotic play

The intent of this healing retreat is to provide participants with safe fully supported spaces to discover more about themselves in intimacy, sensuality, sexuality, and address the shadow aspects that stop us enjoying and being fulfilled in these areas.

There is NO nudity or sexual contact and no compulsory practices as part of the event. All sensitivities, boundaries and emotions are fully honored. This is an opportunity to enjoy discovering yourself, safely open to the excitement and power of what your shadows offer, and to learn powerful practicalities.

Playful and interesting reference experiences are explored at your own edges and limits, so that you can return informed to your personal life to explore your new learnings there.

Testimonials

“Thank you for the wonderful workshop. The progression through the day was smooth and each exercise had its own purpose and lessons. It was great also to be able to provide feedback after each, in pairs and as a group. The honesty, while sometimes confronting, was essential and always heartfelt. It was amazing to see the room being filled with positive vibes through the day and everyone opening to themselves and others.”

“The greatest benefit was in reclaiming shadow parts of self such as desires I’d been ashamed to own or experience. It was juicy, revealing, confronting and challenging. I learn about myself at a much more accelerated rate through erotic work than I can in counselling or in self-development workshops.”

“The main benefit has been integrating all the parts of me into my manifest self expression. About union. Inner unity. Being able to fully explore depths and darkness makes space for me to taste my raw self.”

“I experienced a deep curiosity, as though some ancient part of me knew this practice and wanted to taste it again. In retrospect I was hunting for my edges, yearning for a way to express my sexuality/sensuality with intention. I had always wanted to feel into the darkness surrounding my desires, to be completely seen within a sacred space.”

“I am now far less afraid of emotions such as awkwardness and guilt after being free to sit with them and have them witnessed without judgment. I’m more confident in interacting with my environment. I love myself more.”

“One huge benefit was developing clearer boundaries with others in my life through being able to speak up for what I wanted or didn’t want. Also I found a diminishment of erotic ‘shame’ or embarrassment especially when it comes to asking for what I want, and appreciation of being alive in a woman’s body and the joy that can bring.”

” I’ve come back into my power, loving myself and my body once more.”
