Individual retreats and group retreats are available at the Mountain Riverside SoulSong Sanctuary, 2 acres of forest tranquillity by a river and state forest in the Upper Yarra Valley, Vic.

What is SoulSong Sanctuary:

This is 2 acres of tall trees and lush ferns bordered by a burbling brook and backed by state forest with walking trails.

Imagine waking to birdsong and the gentle sound of the burbling brook at the edge of these glorious two acres of tall tree open forest.

There is also a small house and evolving garden, chooks, fruit trees and flowers.

What is it like to stay:

Camping: Camp amongst soaring tall trees in a tent or park your van. Set your mind, body and spirit free to wander and rest in nature.

Boil yourself a billy on the communal fire or boy gas bbq and sip tea in bed or gaze at the birds, trees or river and breathe in the serenity.

This is camping at its best: quiet, away from it all, yet plenty to do if you want to.

Compost toilets and (non-drinking) water as well as a solar shower or bathe in the creek are available. BYO drinking water and camping gear.

Sleep or read under the trees, paddle in the creek or explore the incredible beauty of the surrounding area.

On early morning walks, you might spy the elusive native platypus or enjoy splashing in the creek or fishing for a trout. Toboggans are available for hire to enjoy the nearby snow in winter.

There are a range of local walking trails, bike trails and picnic spots.

Location:

Located only 1.5 hours from Melbourne, it is 10 mins from the Reefton Pub with its country meals and live music or 20 mins from quirky Warburton’s cafes and arts scene.

There’s history, water parks, wineries, wildlife parks and the famous Redwood Forest is only 10 mins drive. Come and enjoy!
