Corinna is in a remote area without public transport.
Options to get there:
- bring your car over on the ferry to Devonport and drive to Corinna
- ferry Devonport or fly to Launceston and hire a car
- ferry to Dev or fly to Launceston the day before and take a bus to Burnie, overnight in Burnie and we will organise a lift to Corinna from there.
- ferry to Dev or fly to Launceston get a lift from other participants – this car pooling will need to be organised by yourself with our help, please contact us
If flying please arrive the night into Launceston as delays or cancellations of flights can mean you may miss your lift.
Corinna:
Corinna is your home in the wilderness – an oasis in the heart of the Tarkine. The old pub has double and twin shared rooms, lounge, kitchen, heating, dining room, bathroom and backs on to the rainforest.
Staying at Corinna we have access to boarded walks with flora and township interpretations, walks into the forest and along the river, canoeing, spaces in the wilderness and a range of other 
nourishing wild experiences.
The site is solar powered with backup generators, in keeping with their eco philosophy. It sits on the banks of the Pieman River, a waterway famous for its incredibly clear reflections.
Your own cabin or cottage can be hired for an extra cost. Note that these book out quickly.
Access:
To Corinna: The road to Corinna from the north and south is sealed except for a few kilometres either way as the road runs towards the township. The unsealed road is an all weather surface which has become known as the “silica road”.
There is a good dirt road between Corinna and Arthur River on the west coast suitable for 2WD vehicles. You will need to make sure that your car has enough fuel to do the 3 hour trip between the two locations we stay in. Lifts will be organised for those without transport.
Barge crossings (Ferry): Please be advised, that we are on the Northern Side of the Pieman River. If you are driving from the South (Queenstown, Zeehan etc) you must cross the Fatman Barge into Corinna. The Barge runs on call from 9am-7pm during daylight savings time, and 9am-5pm all other times. The rates are: Car: $30.00 per car, ute or SUV. Towing/Extended Vehicle: $35.00 per bus or car with caravan, trailer or boat. Motorbike: $15.00 per motor bike, bicycle or pedestrian. Payments must be made with a credit/debit card in the Tarkine Hotel prior to or immediately after crossing. Barge Restrictions: Length: 9mt from the front axle to the centre of the rear axle. Weight: 6.5tonne. These maximums cannot be exceeded. Fuel: Guests are unable to charge electric vehicles in Corinna due to power constraints. Please keep this in mind when planning your arrival.

What is available at Corinna?
Fuel is not sold at Corinna. Please note that the last available fuel is at Waratah (1hr) to the north; Zeehan (1hr) to the south; and Marrawah (near Julius River) which is 2 hrs to the west.There is no phone range right in Corinna. Messages can be left at the Corinna reception which will be passed on to you or Phoenix will be able to check her phone at a certain spot away from Corinna each day and can send and bring in messages.
There is a small kiosk selling only limited basics. Please bring snacks or any medication with you that you will require during your stay.

Food.
All meals from dinner on the Thursday to breakfast on the final day are provided. Please bring own snacks, but note there will be no microwave available or fridge space to refrigerate your own food. Most dietary requirements can be catered for but we need to know in advance.
