Equine Assisted Learning
Discover Growth, Healing and Connection Through Therapy With Horses.
At Innate Wisdom Connection, Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) offers a unique opportunity to explore personal growth, emotional wellbeing and self-awareness through meaningful interactions with horses.
Horses have an extraordinary ability to respond honestly to human emotions and behaviour. Without judgement or expectation, they provide immediate, authentic feedback that encourages reflection, builds confidence and supports positive change.
No horse riding experience is required. In fact, all sessions take place on the ground, creating a safe and supportive environment where participants can engage with horses at their own pace.
What is Equine Assisted Learning?
Equine Assisted Learning is an experiential approach that combines guided activities with horses to support learning, personal development and emotional wellbeing.
Unlike traditional counselling or riding lessons, the focus is on building awareness, communication, emotional regulation and confidence through hands-on experiences with horses.
Working alongside these intuitive animals can help individuals gain new perspectives, strengthen relationships and develop practical life skills in a calm and natural setting.
How Horses Help Us Learn
Horses are highly sensitive animals that naturally respond to body language, emotions and intention.
They encourage us to:
- Become more present and mindful
- Build trust and authentic relationships
- Develop confidence and resilience
- Improve communication skills
- Increase emotional awareness
- Learn healthy boundaries
- Strengthen problem-solving abilities
- Practise patience and self-compassion
The lessons learned with horses often transfer into everyday life, supporting healthier relationships, greater self-awareness and improved wellbeing.
