Peace
Dear Friends,
Peace ✌🏻
“I just want peace.” I blurted out to my therapist years ago.
As a therapist I have therapy myself. Its important for therapists to keep working on themselves and make sure they keep clear for when they work with their own clients, discover any projections or counter-transference (onto the clients) and discuss their own issues so they don’t leak out in client sessions.
Just discovering that peace was essential in what I wanted for myself was revelatory in my own healing journey.
And sometimes something which may seem so simple may take a long time to discover and then bring about.
It is worth it.
I am now more at peace in myself then ever and a long way from the struggles that characterised my earlier years. And I love helping others to gain their version of inner and outer peace.
Peace can mean many thing for different people. Sometimes the path can lead to moments of chaos, struggle, confusion, loss, trauma, etc.
Which may not seem like it’s taking us to peace but facing what is not peace, so it doesn’t impact us anymore, can be one of the effective ways forward. Because what we avoid usually keeps coming up to face.
Peace practises include breathing, meditation, yoga, walking, nature, connection, time, therapy, workshops, reaching out, reaching in, doing nothing, doing something…it’s your discovery!
We also have created at-a-glance handy sized cards to remind us any time of day or especially when we are feeling stressed or anxious.
May real peace may it come to you soon 🙏🏽
Love Phoenix
