‘My experiencing of the Healing Retreat at Soul Song in Reefton. 7 Days of emersion in deep sacred space, in the forest amongst the trees and next to the beautiful flowing river.   Birds singing and the Cicadas calling their songs loudly at times then the quiet as they rest. Trauma-informed Spaces

When we say we are trauma-informed, what does that actually mean? Safety: Ensuring that you feel physically and emotionally safe. This does not mean you will always feel safe because of personal factors, what you carry in with you and occasional mistakes by us, but that you are essentially safe. Trustworthiness: We try. We may not always get close to the mark but we believe that listening and understanding where you are at helps us to maintain a helpful level of trust. The Therapy Journey

The Year Ahead

Not many in-person groups next year but private groups (structured or informal)  are welcome to contact me. How does private group work ah…work? Many of you already know that I have been supporting people for a long time and that much of what I have studied and practiced is an experiential type of process that allows whatever is needing to emerge to come up safely and be processed or released or integrated. Sojourner Reflection

During my two week sojourner of reflection and reset here at Iluka, I’ve taken the last ferry across the mighty Clarence River almost every sunset. It seems a metaphor for my life….
