Trauma-informed Spaces
When we say we are trauma-informed, what does that actually mean?
Safety: Ensuring that you feel physically and emotionally safe. This does not mean you will always feel safe because of personal factors, what you carry in with you and occasional mistakes by us, but that you are essentially safe.
Trustworthiness: We try. We may not always get close to the mark but we believe that listening and understanding where you are at helps us to maintain a helpful level of trust.
Choice: It is up to you to participate as much or as little as you want.
Collaboration: Healing is a journey together.
Trauma-informed is not an end state, but a process. We are always learning and developing to become trauma aware, trauma sensitive, trauma responsive and trauma-informed.
We both have solid decades of experience and training behind us and continue to evolve in ways that help people to recover, feel better, let go of what is not needed, build capacity, reach potential and find relief from syptoms, repetitive patterns, stuckness, illness, conditions and more.
